Finance Manager Job Description –
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the organization’s overall goals and objectives. Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to guide decision-making and optimize financial performance.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and other financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Treasury and Cash Management:
Manage the organization’s cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to meet operational needs and financial obligations. Implement effective treasury management practices, including cash forecasting, investment management, and risk mitigation strategies.
Financial Control and Governance:
Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address areas of concern.
Strategic Financial Planning:
Provide strategic financial advice and insights to the executive team and board of directors to support business growth and expansion. Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives from a financial perspective.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters and represent the organization externally as needed.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Identify and assess financial risks facing the organization, including market, credit, and operational risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to protect the organization’s financial health and reputation.
Corporate Governance and Ethics:
Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, integrity, and ethics in all financial activities and decision-making processes. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
